Currently measures 23" in diameter across the shades and drops 53 1/2". Each strand of chain measures 29".
Monumental Arts and Crafts chandelier manufactured from cast and wrought brass with heavy cast iron chain. Fixture retains all original chain, canopy, body, shades, and keyed Hubbell sockets. 5 cast brass "Grimacing Monk" heads grace the perimeter of the 19" wide and 4 1/4" tall ring directly below each strand of chain. I personally find it to be more appealing and executed in greater detail than the other version know as the "Jovial Monk". Fixture was completely disassembled and cleaned by hand to avoid disturbing the original finish. It was then reassembled and rewired with period appropriate black cloth wire. One wire has a brown tracer. The hand painted glass shades slide onto the socket and are held in place by a tit on the fitter that sits above the threads on the socket shell and the light bulbs. Five 30 watt squirrel cage light bulbs included with the purchase price. I think they really add to the fixture. Some wear to the hand painted flowers on the shades, but no chips or cracks. I also have another impressive "Grimacing Monk" fixture currently listed. See image 12. Additional pictures and measurements available upon request. Due to the nature of this item I am setting this listing up for local pickup only. If you are interested in discussing shipping please contact me.
