DESCRIPTION

The overall drop of this fixture is 58" from the ceiling. The large plaster bowl measures 20" across the top and 14" tall.

Large scale plaster bowl chandelier with an impressive original polychrome finish. This historic fixture was removed from the Egyptian Chamber of the Masonic Temple located at 1 Ionic Ave. Worcester, MA. Construction on the Masonic Temple was completed in 1914 and this fixture was original to the building. A group of these fixtures were used to indirectly light the Egyptian Chamber until the 1990's when they were replaced with more efficient lighting devices. The fixture employs 3 pieces of 37" long heavy duty solid brass chain to connect the bowl and complimentary ceiling canopy. Canopy retains the original finial. The large plaster bowl houses an original 14" Eye Comfort reflector shade. The original ceramic socket has been rewired with period appropriate black cloth covered wire. Pictured is the German 3 socket adapter that came in the fixture. I did have to replace the original socket extension employed between the single ceramic socket and triple adapter due to deterioration. I replaced it with a new 1" ceramic extension. Ceiling canopy measures 5 3/4" wide. Fixture can be shortened to fit your specific application. Additional pictures and measurements available upon request. Please contact us to arrange delivery prior to purchase. Due the the fragile nature of these fixtures they cannot be shipped via UPS, FEDEX, or USPS.
